Merger of HKW-Elektronik GmbH with EFR GmbH
Following the takeover of all shares in HKW-Elektronik GmbH, Wutha-Farnroda (Thuringia) in December 2018, the Munich EFR recently completed the integration.
Since June 2019 the Thuringian company is officially operated as EFR GmbH, location Wutha-Farnroda and represented by two managing directors, Mr. Robert Bergmann (Heasdquarters Munich) and Mr. Martin Eibl (Location Wutha-Farnroda).
At the same time, the EFR Europäische Funk-Rundsteuerung GmbH was renamed EFR GmbH.
EFR acquired its first stake in HKW Elektronik ten years ago and integrated the company into product development. This cooperation has intensified over the years. Today, the team at Wutha-Farnroda is not only active in electronics development and product management, but also manages logistics for all EFR meters. Production at the Thuringian site is also certified according to EU Directive 2014/32 / EU, Annex D, according to measurement and calibration law.
